Commercialism*

Overcome the limits of traditional funding with a new way of thinking

Embedding a commercial approach helps councils identify opportunities that unlock value and generate income, allowing you to solve complex service delivery problems and deliver sustainable services for the long-term.

Our team can help your council become financially sustainable by nurturing a commercial mindset and collaborative partnership culture within your organisation — ensuring your team feels confident to find solutions, engage with the market, and leverage partnerships to secure additional external funding.

We’ll support you in developing a commercial strategy; with commercial approaches to business planning and service delivery; to acting more commercially in the use of assets and powers; developing income-generating frameworks; and using your commercial position to shape and strengthen the market.

*We know ‘commercialisation’ often has negative connotations, but ‘commercialism’ is about more than purely income generation.

The team at 31ten worked alongside Bristol City Council to engage directly with the local provider market. The team worked quickly to engage with the local provider market and provide a knowledgeable independent voice that facilitated open conversations allowing for meaningful engagement with our established providers and the wider national LD and Autism provider market. We are excited to take this work on and to develop new models of care across the city.
